Full Stack Developer

The main focus is around the Application support for the current site and development of new customer experiences

The Development team report to the CTO and Development Manager and work alongside the Business Analyst and Product Managers as a key part of the technology and customer experience team.

This customer focused company is looking for a true digital native who will take a team playing role as they deliver a refreshed mobile first platform. The successful candidate must have experience and knowledge of all stages of software development process as well as a passion for creating great customer experience.

The full stack developers will be a key part of a newly formed technology team helping to define the future direction of the business and decide where next in areas such as platform selection and delivery.

They favour agile but in the true they believe teams should be free to organise the way that works best for them. They expect and welcome a constant questioning of how they do things to keep improving and growing the business.

Support definition of the overall design and architecture of the customer experience.
Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.
Collaborate with the rest of the technical team to design and launch new features.
Maintain code integrity and organization.
On a day to day basis work with HTML 5, CSS, Javascript, and MS SQL, .NET MVC, C#.
Working with the creative team to translate designs and visual assets in to highly effective customer experiences
Understanding and implement measures to assure security and data protection.
Proficient experience using libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS/ReactJS
Development experience on both mobile and desktop. Experience of voice search e.g. Alexa Skill development would be a nice to have as they see voice as one of the future opportunities. If you don’t have it here’s the opportunity to try it out!
Understanding of a range of server-side languages
Work with API specification, design, delivery and management
Work using of code versioning tools e.g. Git, Mercurial or SVN (an early task will be to help define our developer toolkit – Github seems like the early front runner)
Using customer insights, user data & analysis to develop hypotheses and design improvement plans
