A QA Lead with strong manual software skills is required for a contract role.
Will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of test runs across a variety of products and platforms. The work is key to informing the development teams as to the level of quality of the products both during major releases and those in maintenance. The scope of work covers, manual software testing and implementing an automation framework, and execution through to improvement of the test systems themselves and reporting actionable results to the development teams.
You will become a focal point for the team and be responsible for the day to day co-ordination of the team responsibilities
A typical day may include (responsibilities):
Co-ordination of team activities against release priorities and acting as Scrum Master
Identifying and unblocking issues impeding the running of automated tests
Monitoring the test environment
Fixing bugs in the test system and infrastructure
Reporting defects to development teams and working with them closely to further diagnose product issues

Organized and methodical, ability to keep track of technical work and steps taken while dealing with other numerous tasks
Experience
Practical application of scripting such as PowerShell / Batch / Shell or similar – desirable
Practical application of programming languages in order to understand our products and create tooling to support testing
Experience executing tests over a wide range of platforms and technologies
Experience in test automation and use of appropriate tooling
Able to use multiple platforms (Windows / Unix / Linux) and technologies (Virtualisation)
Educated to Degree Level ideally Computer Science or similar subject
