Systems Analyst (Development)

SW London customer seeks a SQL Sys. (On Hold, Budget Approvals)

What is the purpose of this role?

• To improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the business by the development of systems and workflows, improving the quality and accuracy of data captured, and allowing the business to make more informed decisions.
• To assist IT to meet the needs of the business through the effective operation and control of the IT Infrastructure (hardware, software, stored data and equipment within wide and local area networks) required to deliver and support IT services and products


Working alongside IT team colleagues and other company departments and functions you will be responsible for the following:

• Contributing to relevant projects and activities as requested by the IT Support Engineer
• Capture business requirements for systems to be developed
• Participate in project teams to develop systems for the business
• Developing small systems for data capture and workflow
• Storing data in a database in an efficient structured manner
• Production of reports and analysis of data held in database
• Developing training (SOP) and operational support materials
• Ongoing support and development of applications and report

To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar fast-paced environment or role, as well as the following:

  • 12 – 18 months work experience (could be part time), ideally in a development role
  • SQL database knowledge
  • Agile development experience
  • Capture of business requirements
  • Development of business reports
  • Sound numerical reasoning skills
  • Strong team-working skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads


  • K2 Five Forms and workflow
  • Experience with developing using other ‘Forms’ type and workflow applications
  • Experience with event driven application development
