This digital insurtec customer has a need for a lead test automation engineer, based in City of London,
Your focus will be to:
- Develop, set up, and maintain test automation frameworks and tools to support our product growth
- Provide technical expertise to the wider team, helping them to establish, develop and maintain the test suites they need to support delivery
- Design and execute test cases, integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines, and report defects as required
- Champion high standards of software quality by advocating automated testing practices
Seeking skills and abilities around…..
- Good understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
- Extensive experience in test automation role working with industry-standard automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright)
- Competent in building test suites in a modern programming language (Java, Kotlin)
- Experience with build tool such (Gradle, Maven)
- Experience with Git / Git Actions / YAML
- Exposure to OWASP is a plus
- Exposure to Gatling is a plus
- Experience in working with Microsoft AZURE or other cloud platform technologies.
- Background creating and maintaining sophisticated test suites to support business critical software components
- Experience performing exploratory testing of browser-based user interfaces.
- Comfortable developing components of a continuous integration / continuous delivery
- Experience working in an agile environment, collaborating with product and engineering disciplines
- Experience analysing requirements and defining the test coverage for manual and automation scripts
- Familiar with established tools of software delivery (ticket tracking systems, version control)
- Eager to champion the testing discipline, advise and coach the broader team on best practice
- Experience in mentoring 3rd party testing vendors and collaboration across multiple vendors (Dev / QAs)
- Pro-active, self-motivated and able to use own initiative
- Previous experience of software development in the financial markets, Fintech or Insurtech is preferable
