The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join the delivery team. This role is responsible for leading the successful delivery of cloud-based SaaS implementations for banking and insurance clients, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the full project lifecycle, managing multiple discrete projects typically ranging from one to six months in duration. This position offers significant exposure to both clients and internal stakeholders and would suit a commercially minded Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Manage end-to-end delivery of cloud-deployed SaaS implementation projects.
- Lead projects through all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and delivery milestones.
- Monitor project performance and ensure successful outcomes against agreed objectives.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests throughout delivery.
- Provide regular project status updates and stakeholder communications.
Commercial Management
- Maintain ownership of project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Manage both fixed-price and time-and-materials engagements.
- Monitor project profitability and identify risks to commercial outcomes.
- Support effective scope management and change control processes.
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and stakeholder engagement.
- Coordinate resources across engineering, product, and quality assurance teams.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work effectively with geographically distributed teams across multiple time zones.
Governance & Process
- Maintain project documentation, including plans, RAID logs, reports, and delivery artefacts.
- Promote project management best practices and governance standards.
- Ensure delivery processes are consistently applied across projects.
- Drive accountability and adherence to project commitments.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile, PMP, or equivalent project management certification.
Experience
- Approximately five years’ project management experience, ideally within SaaS or cloud software environments.
- Proven experience managing the full SDLC on software implementation or development projects.
- Experience delivering fixed-price projects with budget responsibility.
- Background within technology-focused organisations, preferably in FinTech, InsurTech, or related B2B software sectors.
- Experience working with remote or internationally distributed teams.
